Trio Select Hardwood Flooring
There are several differences between solid hardwood floors and engineered hardwood floors. Engineered hardwood utilizes a top wear layer of decorative wood that is fused together with a more stable underlayment, typically plied, wood. Engineered wood is beautiful, elegant and visually indistinguishable from solid wood , but much more dimensionally stable. This means that engineered flooring helps to prevent cupping and warping of hardwood floors during environmentally adverse conditions. Engineered flooring is typically pre-finished giving it a far superior, extremely durable polyurethane top coat, when compared to wood that is sanded and finished on the job site.
